By using innerlifeskills.com, our student portal, or any of our courses, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or enrol.

In these terms, “we” and “us” mean InnerLifeSkills, Suite 700, PVT Bag X153, Bryanston, 2021, South Africa.

What we provide

We provide coach training and certification. Some of it is free, some is paid. Our accredited programmes are delivered through live online classes, self-study material, mentoring and assessment.

Class dates, formats and content may change. Where a change materially affects a course you have paid for, we will tell you and offer a fair alternative.

Enrolment and payment

• Your place is confirmed once payment, or the first payment of an agreed plan, has been received.
• Prices are shown on the prices page. We hold one price across USD, EUR and GBP. South African residents pay in Rand.
• Where a payment plan is agreed, you remain responsible for the full fee, and access may be paused if payments stop.
• Classes fill up. We recommend enrolling well ahead of a start date to secure a place.

Cancellations and refunds

If you need to cancel or move your place, contact us as early as you can and we will do our best to help. Please email info@innerlifeskills.com to discuss your circumstances.

Where you have a statutory right to cancel under the consumer law of your own country, that right applies and is not affected by anything in these terms.

Certification and ICF credentials

This matters, so please read it carefully.

We are an ICF accredited training provider, and have been since 2012. You can verify that on the ICF’s own register.

Completing our training is not the same as holding an ICF credential. We provide the accredited education, mentor coaching and performance evaluation. The ACC, PCC and MCC credentials are awarded by the International Coaching Federation, not by us, and the ICF sets its own requirements, fees and exams. We cannot guarantee that the ICF will grant you a credential.

Your InnerLifeSkills certificate is awarded when you have completed the required attendance, practice, mentor hours and assessments for your programme. Assessment outcomes are at the discretion of our qualified assessors.

No guarantee of income or results

We teach coaching skills and how to build a practice, and our graduates have gone on to do well. What any individual earns depends on their own effort, skill, market and circumstances. Nothing on this site is a promise or guarantee of income, clients or business results, and any examples of what other coaches have achieved are illustrations rather than expectations.

Coaching is not therapy or medical care

Coaching, including anything taught or demonstrated on this site, is not psychotherapy, counselling, medical treatment or a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are in distress or crisis, please seek qualified help in your own country.

Intellectual property

The material we teach is ours, and a great deal of it was built over 30 years. That includes our course manuals, videos, worksheets, cartoons and illustrations, and our own frameworks such as the 3 Personality Pearls, the Primary Polarities, the 8 Step Coaching Typing Test Method, the Big 4 toolboxes and the Wisdom Well Way.

When you enrol, you get a personal, non-transferable right to use the material for your own learning and to coach your own clients.

You may not copy, resell, publish or share our materials, teach them as your own, or use them to train other coaches, without our written permission. Please do not share your student portal login. If you would like to teach our material, talk to us about becoming an InnerLifeSkills trainer.

Confidentiality in class

Our classes involve real coaching practice, and people share real things. Whatever is shared in a class or breakout room stays there. This applies to you as a student and it applies to us. Recordings, where they exist, are for enrolled students only and may not be shared or published.

Your conduct

We ask you to treat fellow students, clients and our team with respect. We may suspend or end access, without refund, in cases of serious or repeated misconduct, harassment, or breach of confidentiality or intellectual property.

Coaches trained by us are expected to work within the ICF Code of Ethics, and to refer clients to appropriate professionals when a situation falls outside coaching.

The website itself

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. Free articles and courses are provided as they are, for general information.

Our site links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Beyond that, our total liability to you in connection with our training or this site is limited to the amount you paid us for the course concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business.

Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you enrol is the one that applies to that enrolment, and we will date any changes at the top.

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
